2. Computer Based Examination (Paper-I)Objective MCQ — Parts I–IV (General Intelligence, GK, Quantitative Aptitude, English). 2 hours. Sectional timer.
3. Shortlisting (based on Paper-I)Paper-I (including NCC bonus) used to shortlist for PST/PET.
4. PST/PET (qualifying)Physical Standard & Endurance tests — standards given in notice (gender/region wise). Qualifying only. Ex-servicemen exempt from PET.

Physical Standards & PET (main highlights)

  • Height / Chest norms differ by category & force (examples for Delhi Police male: 170 cm & chest 80–85 cm; relaxations for hill areas / ST / Gorkhas etc.).
  • PET events (male): 100 m in 16 sec, 1.6 km in 6.5 min, long jump 3.65 m, high jump 1.2 m, shot put 4.5 m etc.; (female) 100 m in 18 sec, 800 m in 4 min, long jump 2.7 m, high jump 0.9 m.
